Illustration is the backbone that drives my passion of working in the creative industry. The following content is a collection of work I have accomplished in my profession over the past twelve years.

Crumb

I was tasked with creating illustrated artwork for the 1994 feature Documentary Crumb, directed by Terry Zwigoff. The aim was to revitalize the film to promote its digital remastered release.

To approach this project, I wanted to capture the style and influence of the films subject matter Robert Crumb, a prominent cartoonist notorious for his autobiographic, explicit works.

The remastered documentary was released on Docplay.

The illustration was drafted and rendered in Adobe Fresco, then transferred to Photoshop for colouring. It was constructed with design in mind, a one-fits-all layout so it could be accommodated across multiple forms of media.

Judy & Punch

The following artwork was an illustrated character poster that I designed for the release of the Australian feature drama Judy & Punch. The goal was to provide secondary art that could communicate a narrative behind the film that was not expressed in the official key art. I explored options surround the theme of tarrot cards, as I saw this as an fitting option as the story behind this film was set during the medieval period. The idea was to create a single character poster that would convey the two characters individually when rotated.

Third Man Films

Third Man Films is a production company operating as a subsidiary business to Madman Entertainment. I was tasked with the role of coming up with their business logo. The name of the company was inspired by the film The Third Man, by Orson Welles. In this project, I explored themes and images around this film as well as other film-noir movies from the 1940's to try and capture the mood and tone, reflecting it in their brand.

Cereal Box

Cereal Box is a Youtube channel that was created to promote Australian TV and film content for children. My role was to work on the branding for the channels inception. In this project I applied my illustration skills to create a mascot character that would draw in the viewer to the channels content. Using Adobe Illustrator, I created the Cereal Box logo, and generated a series of poses utilising this character that could be applied across a suite of different media assets.

Big Picture Group

I was tasked with illustrating a collection of images which would be used as part of a digital signage ad campaign for Burrows Legal. These were constructed to replicate existing stock imagery, which was then animated by Big Picture Group to create the seamless transition between the illustration and the stock images.
