Typography

I have a comprehensive background and understanding of typographic foundations, principles and how to apply them in their suitable contexts. The following examples you see on this page are projects that focussed on building typeface families from concept through to final output.

Madman Sans

Madman Sans was a typeface constructed to extend the Madman Entertainment brand and visual identity beyond its iconic logo. The aim was to build a complete typeset that best represented the companies identity and language, visually conveying the nuances of the existing brand and corporate identity. Using variable font technology, I constructed a neutral type family that could be used for Display and Body text.

Humbug

Humbug, a modernist typeface I constructed, is a humorous display type with a heavy heart. Its curved lines and refined simplicity exude contemporary charm, while a playful twist injects character. Versatile and witty, Humbug adds a touch of humor to brand identities.
